Climate Change and Child Health: From Words to Actions – webinar
View Website → | 6 March 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm - Virtual Event |
Climate change is the biggest threat to health of the 21st century, and children are among the most vulnerable to the risks it poses. Paediatricians have dual responsibilities to act on tackling climate change – both as professionals working in a high-emission health system and as educators and advocates working to protect and improve children’s health.
This webinar, curated by members of our Climate Change Working Group, will focus on the practical ways that paediatricians can take action on tackling climate change. It will cover a “how to” on:
- supporting sustainable healthcare efforts through carbon foot printing,
- talking about climate change with children and families,
- becoming a climate and health advocate, including understanding your spheres of influence.
