Managing difficult conversations

View Website → 14 March 09:00 - 11:20 - Virtual Event

Join Pancreatic Cancer UK in March for a free, two-part virtual educational event on managing difficult conversations.

In part one on 14th March, we’ll be exploring best practice when it comes to breaking bad news, how to break the barrier of people being resistant to having conversations around palliative care, and how to have conversations with patients and their loved ones on end of life and support for dying well. We’ll also be discussing whose responsibility it is to have these conversations.

In part two on 21st March, we’ll discuss how to manage conversations around depression and anxiety. We’ll share guidance on opening up conversations around spirituality and sex and relationships and tips on supporting patients with these. We’ll also explore how to talk to children about cancer, and how to open up conversations around finance.

These events should give you ideas, tips and techniques to give you the confidence in having these difficult conversations with your patients and their loved ones.
