This two day online event, and accompanying pre-course eLearning package, covers a range of key and hot topics relevant to new named and designated paediatricians, in line with the competencies set out in the Intercollegiate Document. A team of some of the country’s leading practitioners in safeguarding, led by, Dr Vicki Walker, Consultant Paediatrician and the Designated doctor for Looked After Children in Nottinghamshire, will deliver sessions covering key responsibilities, with a focus on practical problem solving through facilitated discussion and sharing of experiences, as well as introducing current topics relevant to safeguarding and child protection. Please note: this course is held online, via Zoom. Day 1 – Tuesday 4 July 2023 09.30- 17:00 (BST) Day 2- Wednesday 5 July 2023 09.30- 16.30 (BST) You must be able to attend both days and complete the eLearning package (which takes approximately 4 hours 15 minutes to complete) prior to attending the course.
