Our new one-day practical, theory-based course will give experienced supervisors the practical tools required to address complex training challenges. It combines interactive workshops and lectures to cover essential topics such as neurodiversity and reasonable adjustments, de-stressing the burn-out, supporting international graduates, identifying and developing residents requiring extra support, and fostering psychological safety, enabling participants to develop practical skills to address these challenges effectively.
Learning objectives
By the end of this course delegates will be able to:
- Identify and evaluate strategies to successfully support residents through common barriers and challenges
- Assess and analyse their own confidence, resilience and strategies in supervising residents who require additional support
- Identify when and how to make reasonable adjustments for those in training
Who should attend?
- Those with oncology and radiology backgrounds
- Educational supervisors with a minimum two years’ experience
- Training programme directors
- Heads of schools
- College tutors / TSTLs
All delegates are expected to actively participate in sessions where required.
