Join us in Edinburgh for the Scottish EM Conference 2026!
This is the flagship event for Scotland’s emergency medicine community—a unique opportunity to connect, collaborate, and be inspired. Expect cutting-edge clinical updates from leading experts, lively discussions, and plenty of chances to network with peers
This year’s programme dives into essential themes: trauma, paediatrics, careers, sustainability, and much more. You’ll also enjoy thought-provoking presentations, innovative posters from across the community, and a presidential address offering insights and reflections on the year ahead.
Please note, registration for this event will close on Tuesday 28 April, but may close earlier if capacity is reached.

Abstract submissions
Submit your abstract for the chance to present at the conference, with prizes available for the winning presentations in the Free Papers and Student categories.
We are happy to accept QIPs, providing they follow RCEM guidelines, however case reports will not be accepted.
The deadline for submissions is Tuesday 24 February at 23:59 (GMT), with a limit of 300 words. All submitters will be notified of the outcome from Tuesday 10 March.
Top scoring submissions in each category will be invited to present their work as an oral presentation. Other successful applicants might be considered to submit their work as a poster to be displayed at the venue.
The oral presentations will take place at the conference, in Edinburgh on 12 – 13 May 2026. Successful applicants will be required to register to attend the event.
Posters will be displayed in the venue in a physical format. Successful poster presenters will be required to register for the conference and bring their poster to the venue on 12 – 13 May 2026.
RCEM is unable to reimburse travel expenses, accommodation or registration fees of the successful abstract presenters or posters.
Social event
An informal social event will be held on Tuesday 12 May, directly after the conference.
